Our story
Three decades on Sh'Hada Street
For more than thirty years, this family counter in the heart of Wadi Nisnas has done one thing: trays of fresh Arabic sweets, baked in-house every day and stacked into pyramids that reach shoulder height.
The shop is a fixed station on Wadi Nisnas's famous flavor route — the culinary trail that brings all of Haifa through the market — and the place tourists find on their last day in the city, carrying home vacuum-sealed boxes of baklava.
There are a few small tables inside. Order a slice of knafeh and a cardamom coffee, and watch the counter work.
“Tons of sweets piled up on the counter in little pyramids. The knafeh was excellent — fresh and hot.”
